Despite spending a lot of time self-grooming, some cats can still suffer from matted hair. When your pet’s coat becomes tangled and matted, it can have acute adverse effects. Even though your cat may not seem affected by the matting in their hair, it can cause discomfort or worse.

Your cat will be more relaxed and reduce the risk of adverse side effects when we treat the matted hair first before we style your cat. In extreme matting cases, it is preferable to have your pet shaved to remove matting and allow the skin to heal. When a cat is shaved, it will grow back into its natural state. Regular brushing and combing will prevent hair matting.

We work to minimize dog appointments during these times of day, knowing it will help keep your pet happy and calm. Please understand we can not guarantee there will be no dog appointments during your cat appointment. 

We specialize in FurMinator Shed-less Treatments for cats. At Pawfect Spa, our grooming services can help you manage your shedding problems. The Furminator SHED-LESS Treatment is recommended by our professional groomers to Pet parents with actively shedding cats or heavy undercoats such as Maine Coon or Persian. The SHED-LESS Treatment is certified to decrease the shedding by up to 80 percent. FURminator grooming package used by our professionals includes FURminator de-shedding shampoo with Omega fatty acids, aloe vera, wheat products, vitamin E and vitamin B5 to remove the undercoat hair the owners tend to find covering their house floors.
